Dear Parent,
As you are well aware, the novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) has been ravaging the world since November of last year. However it got to our borders and crossed in sometime early March.
As a result of its rapid spread, the Government of Edo State, led by the amiable Governor Godwin Obaseki instructed all Schools within the state to shutdown till further notice.
On March 23rd, 2020, at exactly 8:00AM we shutdown School Operations and our Children have been at home ever since.
However, opportunity came, in form of contemporary ICT practice, to wrap up 2nd Term of the 2019/2020 Session which came to an abrupt end on the day we were supposed to start exams.
Since we are not currently able to organize the 2nd Term examinations for our Children in School, after consultation with stakeholders and meeting of the School Board, we have deemed it necessary to utilize Technology to wrap up the term.
In light of this, 2nd Term Examinations will hold in your house!
Hopefully as you read this, you have already received login details for your children and instructions on how to go about registering them for the exams.
If you have not, text your Child’s name and class the Director on 0809 577 5197.
(Please note that login details will be sent, ONLY to Parents whose phone numbers are stored in our database).
IMPORTANT: DO NOT RELEASE YOUR LOGIN DETAILS (USERNAME OR PASSWORD) TO A THIRD-PARTY!
USERNAME AND PASSWORD REQUESTING & RESETTING
We received a lot of Username and Password requests from Parents and Students –
Please note that the Login details (USERNAME and PASSWORD) sent to you for your Children are 100% Correct.
All you need to log in is to COPY and PASTE your Child’s login details from the text message you received from us, into the School Website LOGIN PAGE.
Once you do this, your child will be logged into the site automatically and immediately.
NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD OR CLICK THE ‘GENERATE’ BUTTON.

I have received my Child’s Username and Password. What do I do next?

Encourage your Child/Ward to prepare for the exam and on the day and time of his/her Exam, Log in here – STUDENT LOGIN
I have 2 or more Children in my family writing the Exam. How do we do it?
Easy! Whether they are in the same class or different classes, the Log out process is the same.
Once the first person is done with their Exam, tap the ‘Profile icon’ at the top-right corner of your screen.
Click the Log Out button and enter the next person’s Log In details to begin her Exam.
Network in my area is poor. How do my Children write the Online CBE without issues?
For network related issues, we advice the following –
- Ask around in your area and utilize a network that has strong, reliable connection
- Move to an area with better connection. A five-minutes drive to an area with better network coverage can make all the difference for your Children’s writing experience.
I have gotten to the correct Log in page but keep seeing “INCORRECT USERNAME/PASSWORD”
As stated in the CBE Walkthrough Video, all Username and Passwords provided to you for your children are 100% Correct. If you are getting this error, it is because you either ‘typed in’ the wrong Log in details or you have ‘GENERATED’ a new password in your profile. To avoid Incorrect Username and Password error, follow these steps –
- Do not type in the Log in details. COPY and PASTE from the message we have sent you. See the CBE Walthrough Video for more details
- AVOID the GENERATE Password button in your Profile! This immediately nullifies the Password we have sent you and logs you our of the Portal. You will then need to request a Password Reset to regain entry.
OPEN Time vs. WRITING Time
If you have gone through the Timetable, you will discover that each Exam has a 2-Hour window period. This is the Exam OPEN TIME. It is the period when all Pupils/Students writing that exam are expected to come into the (Online) Class and write their exams.
WRITING TIME on the other hand is the time limit for each Paper. Seeing as this is an Online CBE, it is expected that time limitations and restrictions are put in place to curb malpractice.
For example, SS1 MATHEMATICS, is slated for 4:00PM to 6:00PM on Monday, April 20th. This is the OPEN time. Each student will have 40 Minutes to take the Exam. This is the WRITING time.
It is IMPERATIVE that you encourage your Children to read ALL instructions before starting any Examination.
REMEMBER! THE SIPS REMEDIAL CBE IS A 1-DAY EVENT FOR EACH SECTION. THIS MEANS THAT EACH STUDENT & PUPIL IS EXPECTED TO TAKE ALL EXAMINATIONS ON THE SAME DAY.
